Biography
I currently serve as the Director of Academic Support and Accessibility at Spring Arbor University, where I am passionate about promoting equitable access to education for all students. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Spring Arbor University in 2014 and my Master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration, with a focus on Higher Education, in 2018. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting and advocating for hundreds of students with disabilities, fostering their academic growth and success.
Prior to my return to Spring Arbor University, I gained valuable experience working at both the University of Michigan and Concordia University Wisconsin. In my current role, I also teach study skills courses specifically designed for incoming freshmen with lower GPAs and students on academic probation. My Master’s thesis explored how college students perceive peers with High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly regarding the effects of disability disclosure.
As a certified Academic Life Coach, I take pride in empowering students to discover their strengths and achieve their full potential. My husband, Jordan, and I live just minutes from campus, and you’ll often find us enjoying meals at the Dining Commons with our children or biking around Spring Arbor Township. It’s a true blessing to return to the place where my own faith took root and to serve the incredible students of Spring Arbor University.
