Why SAU
My favorite part of teaching at SAU is getting to take part in the school’s whole life education. Our students are bright, hard working, always respectful, easy to work with, and servant minded. I enjoy that I can be talking American history one second and challenge students from scripture the next. The school also affords opportunities for students to engage with faculty/staff, and vice versa, outside of the classroom, in freshmen retreats, sophomore urban weekends, cross-cultural trips, and extracurriculars like Model Arab League. Some of my favorite, most transformative, most fun conversations occur in these more informal settings.
- The Right of the Protestant Left: God’s Totalitarianism (Palgrave Macmillan, 2012)
- Faith and Foreign Affairs in the American Century (Lexington, 2019)
- Walter Lippmann: American Skeptic, American Pastor (2023)
