Since I have grown up as preacher’s kid, it may be shocking to find out that I had not heard of lent until I attended SAU. As I heard about what it was from friends and after doing some research on my own, I find lent to be a beautiful thing. I understand it as a time dedicated to steward our temples in remembrance and appreciation of Jesus’ sacrifice. I look forward to implementing lent into my life. I truly believe it will offer a new appreciation of surrender, purity, and deep spiritual roots shaped by the love of God.
