Immerse yourself in the study of scripture, theology, and Christian principles at Spring Arbor University. At SAU, our Biblical and Theological Studies major goes beyond intellectual pursuit. You’ll deepen your understanding of God’s word to cultivate a biblical worldview that transforms your life. Through classroom discussions, real-world experiences and coursework, you’ll be able to have a strong foundation in biblical interpretation, theology, and the history of Christianity.
Key Courses
Students in the biblical studies major will be prepared for graduate school or seminary. Students will engage with exegetical methods of Christian Scripture. Students will be able to address theological concerns that are not only part of the ancient world but that also face the contemporary church. Students will articulate an understanding of the Wesleyan Quadrilateral: Scripture, tradition, reason and experience.
