Major
Explore a Career in Broadcasting
Choosing the Broadcasting major at Spring Arbor University offers a robust curriculum covering radio, television, journalism, and digital media. As a student in the broadcasting program, you will experience hands-on opportunities to boost your knowledge in the field through sports announcing or by being a part of our two radio stations on campus. You also have experienced professors who have previously or even currently work in the broadcasting field.
Key Courses
With a curriculum based on a hands-on approach, the Broadcasting major allows students to produce creative work from the very beginning of the program, practice teamwork and keep meet deadlines. Students will also develop skill in writing, speaking, social media management and storytelling.

What our students say about the Broadcasting program
“The School of Communication, Media and Fine Arts has professors who truly know what they’re doing and have been able to get me into SAU’s radio studio, and as a broadcasting major it provides so much experience. I’ve also been able to work for the Cougar Sports Network on campus calling baseball games, which is so important to gaining more experience.”
