You have served your country, now let us serve you
Study while you serve or as you transition to civilian life. Whether you plan to complete your degree at our main campus or through SAU Online, the Veteran Resource Office is here to assist you every step of the way.
Gold Level Status
Spring Arbor University holds gold-level status with the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. We are a proud partner of these organizations:
Benefits
If you have served our country through the armed forces or are the dependent of someone who has, you likely have access to many outside resources to help you pay for a college degree.
Our Commitment to Serve
Spring Arbor University has earned its status as a military-friendly school by honoring the Principles of Excellence for educational institutions set forth in Executive Order 13607. This order, signed April 27, 2012, by the President of the United States, established Principles of Excellence (POE) for any institution serving service members, veterans, spouses, and other family members.
POST 9/11 GI BILL® AND YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAMS
Veterans who opt to enroll in one of our degree completion or master's programs may be eligible for assistance through the Post-9/11 GI Bill® or the Yellow Ribbon Program. Both programs offer benefits providing educational assistance to individuals who have served on active duty on or after September 11, 2001. These benefits are currently payable toward training completed after July 31, 2009.
Transferring Credits
Spring Arbor has a generous credit transfer policy that allows you to count your military experience toward your college degree. Once you have submitted your official application along with your military transcripts, Spring Arbor will evaluate them for prior learning credits. These credits can shave time and costs off of your degree. We accept up to 84 total credits—nearly three-years’ worth of college.
