Biography

Anil has been with Spring Arbor University in various roles since 1992.  He began his career at SAU as an admissions representative from 1992-1994.   He then finished his graduate degree at Western Michigan University in Exercise Science and began teaching and coaching men’s soccer for the university until 2008.  He recently completed his second master’s, an MBA in strategic leadership.  Anil served as the Department Chair for the Health, Human Performance, and Recreation (HHPR) program at SAU for six years.  During that time Anil was the key lead in developing the Spring Arbor University Physical Therapy Clinic as well as starting the sports management major at SAU. In addition, he has been involved with the universities cross cultural program which took him most recently to Uganda, Africa.  Currently, Anil is a professor in the HHPR program and head men’s and women’s golf coach at the university.  Anil has been married to his wife Kristi for 32 years and has 3 adult children two who are married.

Why SAU

I graduated from SAU, played soccer for SAU and wanted to give back to college athletics. I know how much playing a sport in college impacted my life.  Spring Arbor gave me the opportunity to teach and coach.  It has allowed me to impact many young people along the way.
