Biography
I grew up in Southeastern Michigan and currently reside in a house on the very street where my childhood home is still located – Strawberry Street. I obtained my B.S. in Psychology, my M.A. in Professional Counseling, and my Ed.D. in Community Care & Counseling from Liberty University Online. The campus is located in Lynchburg, VA. I had the pleasure of travelling to the campus for several intensive courses and for graduations. I have worked in a variety of roles including for a pregnancy center and my local community mental health as a program supervisor providing services to individuals who have severe and persistent mental health diagnoses.
The church I currently attend and serve as the pianist is called the Church of the Lord, Our Righteousness. As a congregation, we often get involved with volunteer work at the Detroit Rescue Mission adopting families at Christmas and taking in collections to help the God Works program. We also ring bells for Salvation Army at Christmas. I serve as the nature leader at the church’s summer youth camp as well. I have one son, two cats, and a dog.
Education

Why SAU
I enjoy education, consultation, and sharing skills and knowledge with others. We all have so much to offer one another. Spring Arbor University was a beacon to me when applying to teach due to the Christ-centeredness of the University. Christ drives everything I do and I cannot picture myself teaching at any other university. The experience has been a tremendous blessing and I pray the blessings are passed on in my interpersonal interactions with the students, staff, and leadership.
