Faculty Profile

Biography

I was born and raised in South Mississippi.  I went to nursing school at Jones Junior College (Jones County Junior College at the time).  This was my associate's degree in nursing. From there, I went to the University of Southern Mississippi for my bachelor's degree and my first master's degree in nursing.  From there, I went to George Washington University for a Master's of Science in Health Sciences in Integrative Medicine.  I joined the Spring Arbor University team as adjunct faculty in 2020 and have been guiding the education of nurse practitioner students since.  In 2021, I became the assistant director of Nurse Practitioner programs, and moved to Michigan the same year.

Education

Master's in Nursing (University of Southern Mississippi)

Master's of Science in Health Sciences (George Washington University)

Why SAU

I chose SAU because I knew that God always has my best interest at heart. I have been involved in education in other colleges, but it was very obvious that the Lord was not prioritized in the management of the students or the faculty. From the day I was interviewed for this position to TODAY, the Lord has been prioritized in all conversations, all meetings, and in the management of each student and all situations. I could not have asked for a better facility to work for or a better organization to support me in my education of the nurse practitioners of tomorrow!
