From the moment you step on campus until you graduate, Spring Arbor University is full of activities that will give you the best college experience.  From on campus activities to off-campus adventures, there is always something to participate in.  Here is our list of must have things to do during your time at SAU.  

SAU Traditions:

  • Make connections with your Core 100 group and go to all of the events hosted by your peer advisors 
  • Experience group-bonding activities with your freshman Core group at Camp Michindoh
  • Throw some food, and dress for the mess at Crud Wars with your Core 100 team
  • Go to Autumn at the Arbor and make memories at the Alumni Chapel, Serve Day, Arbor Games, Cougar Madness, Donut Dash, Fall Festival, Homecoming Rally, Women’s Soccer Game, and Hoe Down 
  • Paint some pumpkins, drink apple cider slushies, ride a mechanical bull, and compete in the triathlon at Choptoberfest. 
  • Show off your bowling skills at Glow Bowl
  • Attend Hanging of the Greens, where you will watch the Christmas Concert, experience the candle lighting ceremony, see the fireworks, eat some Christmas cookies, and go on a carriage ride through campus
  • Fuel up and take a study break before final exams start at Late Night Breakfast
  • Gather some friends and go sledding down Mount Beebe
  • Have "snow" much fun at Staking for Tuques
  • Sing your heart out at Gainey-Oke
  • Go on a Spring Break Mission Trip to serve those in need 
  • Get groovy at 80s skate night
  • Get all dressed up to dance, sing, and snack at the Taco Bell Formal
  • Support the Arbor Fund at Give Day
  • Take the opportunity to travel to a new country and make memories with your classmates on the cross-cultural Trip
  • Worship and learn about Jesus at Met by Love
  • Show your Cougar pride and support your peers by going to the athletic events on campus

Local Adventures:

  • Spend some time outdoors and walk on the Falling Waters Trail.  
  • Enjoy some ice cream, see the animals, and experience all of the fun activities at Red Egg Creamery & Farm 
  • See all of the art and murals in Downtown Jackson.  
  • Take a break from studying and support your local vendors at the Grand River Farmers Market.
