Financial Aid Information
Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which opens each year on October 1 for the following academic year. FAFSA data is used by the Office of Financial Aid to determine eligibility for most aid sources.
Our federal school code is 002318. Make SAU your first college choice on the FAFSA if you're considering attending SAU.
The priority deadline for filing a FAFSA is May 1 of each year. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is a convenient way to transfer your tax data into your FAFSA form.

Billing
Log in to MySAU. Choose the “Student” tab and then go to “View My Balance/Statement”
Current Balance is the amount reflected on your student account at that time. Anticipated Account Balance is the amount that is expected after pending financial aid.
Loan fees are deducted prior to disbursement of a loan to SAU. Loan fees are charged by the government to cover costs associated with supporting the federal loan program.
This indicates that we anticipate that there will be an overage on your student account once loans, grants, scholarships, etc. are posted.
