School of Humanities

Message from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Humanities! We believe the humanities are the crossroads of all disciplines, and provides students with a Christian perspective and the tools of analysis that will allow them to understand, describe, and explain the world around them in a critical context. Areas of study cover history, literature, philosophy, political science, and religion. A core element of a well-rounded education, the humanities enable insights into nearly every aspect of life. By encouraging students to think creatively and critically, to reason, to ask questions and to understand cultures, the SAU School of Humanities successfully builds future leaders, scholars, writers, researchers, teachers, lawyers, creators and entrepreneurs.

What our students say about the School of Humanities

"When I first stepped on campus, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and I felt the Lord leading me to be here. The friends I have made are so prayerful and the community loves like how Jesus does. The school of Humanities is very vast in its people and area of study. I have loved learning from my professors and their experiences in ministry and appreciate how they always consult with Jesus inside and outside of the classroom. Humanities has helped me learn more about Jesus, myself, and the world outside of SAU."
